Steven Humenski

Director and Curator

     Steven, a bass trombonist, has studied with Jeff Reynolds, former bass trombonist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic (1969-2006) and Bob Sanders, bass trombonist of the Pacific Symphony. He currently holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Cal State Fullerton. Steve plays with various ensembles around the Los Angeles and Orange Counties.  He has also played in the top ensembles at Pasadena City College, Cal State Northridge and Cal State Fullerton.  In addition to being a freelance musician, Steven is also the Technical Director at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts.
     Steven was first introduced to the Moravian Trombone Choir by his grandfather when he first started playing the trombone and is currently the Director of the Moravian Trombone Choir.  He also serves as Curator of the Trombone Choir's Archives and Music Library.

Bobby Frey

Conductor

     Bobby is currently a student of the Bob Cole Conservatory at CSU Long Beach. He is pursuing a degree in Instrumental Music Education. He is also the principal trombone in all of the schools major classical ensembles. He anticipates graduating in spring 2014 and beginning the credential program immediately afterward. Outside of his school responsibilities, Bobby teaches several music ensembles. He is the assistant band director at University High School, under the direction of Corey Heddon. He teaches several other high schools in the state of California. He is also involved in coaching several youth orchestra brass sections in Southern California. During the summer months, he teaches and tours with the Colts drum and bugle corps. They are a nonprofit youth organization based out of Iowa  In addition to his duties as the Conductor in Residence with the Moravian Trombone Choir, He is also one of the conductors with TBC: True Brass Choir based out of Long Beach, California.
